Michael and Rosemary Crook arranged a very nice lunch on Friday 21st October 2011 for MOSA and BOSA
- a very good turn out of over 60 people at
The Heaves Hotel Kendal.

Michael and Rosemary are retiring as joint branch secretaries.
Hester Willink has offered to help and would appreciate support
-any volunteers please?

North East Branch of MOSA/BOSA

Sunday  4th October 2011

The North East Branch of MOSA/BOSA is to meet on Sunday October 4th at The White Monk Café in Blanchland, Northumberland at 3pm.

Those who want a short walk beforehand should meet in the Bay Bridge picnic area at 2.30pm.

Summer Lunch Party 2011
Saturday 25th June
at 12.30pm at the above address.

 We do hope that you and your family will be able to join us for a Summer lunch party at our home (address above).

On this occasion we have invited Julie Davis who is Bursar at the Mount and also M.O.S.A. Treasurer to be our guest. We have also invited her husband and her daughter Sarah who is currently a pupil at the Mount. This will be an opportunity to hear the latest news of the School from Julie and we are sure that Sarah will make a very useful contribution to all our discussions.

taught at the Mount and Bootham.

His widow Sue is an Old Mount Scholar

James Hamilton wrote the book on him  plus many others.

North West Branch of BOSA and MOSA

       The North West Branch of BOSA and MOSA led by Rosemary and Michael Crook arranged a luncheon at Whoop Hall Cumbria on October 8th.Approximately 70 attended from around the country. Colin Henderson, BOSA President welcomed everyone. Julie Lodrick,Principal at The Mount gave a brief update of school an the news that Amanda Barrie ,deputy Head has accepted a job in Australia. The senior school numbers of college and the boarding numbers are all increasing. Julie mentioned how important the support of Old Scholars  of both schools is greatly appreciated within the school family. A very happy occasion and hopefully will be repeated next year.

Sutton Park, Stately Home Visit

      

           The North Yorkshire and Humberside Branch of MOSA are visiting Sutton Park, Stately Home on Thursday 23rd September.

You are invited to join us.

There will be a private tour of the house and grounds.
Price £7 or less for gardens only.
So far there are 15 in the group, do come and join us.

Report after the event......

The North Yorkshire and Humberside Branch

16 members and husbands met at Sutton Park Sutton-on-the Forest,near York on Thursday 23rd September.
Two guides took us around the Georgian family home belonging to The Sheffields.
A lovely fine day and were able to wander around the lawn ed garden followed by a light lunch in The Tea Rooms-all very pleasant.

Summer Lunch Party

at 12.30pm

             We are pleased to tell you that Julie Lodrick, the Principal at the Mount has accepted our invitation to come to our Summer Lunch Party on Wednesday 7th July which is to be held at the above address. We do hope you and your husband/wife or partner will be able to come.

            Julie Lodrick became Principal at the Mount in September 2009. She first met Old Scholars at the Joint Reunion in May 2009. Since taking up her appointment she has attended M.O.S.A. Committee Meetings in November and March and the Joint Reunion Committee held in September. She has expressed a willingness to meet Old Scholars at Branch functions and to bring them up to date on events at the School and to learn from Old Scholars.
